How accurate must a canera's rangefinder be? Six mm seems a very tight standard. I suppose it depends upopn how you shoot. Those with fast lenses used at large openings will place a premium on pinpoint accuracy in focusing. You didn't mention focal length, but it plays a large role in focusing accuracy, too. - -----Original Message----- From: Alexey Merz <alexey@webcom.com> To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us <leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us> Date: Tuesday, December 01, 1998 2:17 PM Subject: [Leica] Accuracy of x.72 range finder >Peter Neissen writes: >>in his famous article ,,J'accuse Leica'' Mr. Ross proposes the >>following experiment: > >>Place a Leica M 2m apart from an object, focus, move 6mm away and >>check if you can see a difference. > >With the 0.85 M6, no problem.
