Interesting experiement. But what would the results mean? How accurate must
a canera's rangefinder be? Six mm seems a very tight standard. I suppose it
depends upopn how you shoot. Those with fast lenses used at large openings
will place a premium on pinpoint accuracy in focusing. You didn't mention
focal length, but it plays a  large role in focusing accuracy, too.
