Good point Nigel.  In fact, Leicas are anything but 100% German.  Many parts
and subassemblies are sourced from the Far East, Canada, Switzerland and let's
not forget Leica's own factory in Portugal.  The "Made in Germany" label
merely indicates from which country the most significant or majority of cost
to assemble/manufacture the product is.
