Hypothetically, would it be so difficult to believe that it is equally plausible for Leica to market products assembled in Solms of cost-saving Asian components, thus appeasing buyers by a "Made in Germany" stamp; rather than assemble German parts off-shore and sell less of them due to hysterical customer prejudice?
