If one shoots color film then converts to B &W . It is possible, by controlling the RGB channels separately to have a unlimited filter control. Say, you normally use a yellow filter to darken the blue sky, you can do this with infinite control-- BUT say you also want to lighten some green trees, you can also add green with infinite control in a separate layer. Pretty cool two or three filters at once all doing separate things with different intensity, that's a lot of control. A good read. Roy Feldman
