Before the Charles and Diana wedding I'd acquired a bottle of house wine (Graves) from Diana's estate, because it was in the TV region where I was then working. I thought I'd save it till her coronation as queen, sadly she never made it. So I drank the bottle on the day of the funeral and I might as well have had your bottle of coke, it certainly hadn't kept well at all, the moral is: 'Don't put off till tomorrow what you can drink today!' Jem Having said that, I understand that 1994 is the vintage of the century for vintage port, and this shouldn't be opened till 2006 at the earliest! > -----Original Message----- > From: tedgrant@islandnet.com [SMTP:tedgrant@islandnet.com] > > OK for anyone out there who is a coke bottle collector I have a numbered > bottle in box from the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics! :0 > > I've had to fight off the grand kids on occaision from drinking it and > only > saved the day by taking them for a Dairy Queen malt. :) > > I wonder if the coke gets better like good booze? :) > > ted > > >On 24 Nov 98, Jeremy Kime wrote, at least in part: > > > >> Good grief!!! > >> > >> Not the 1939 green Coke bottle! > >> They only made 2000 of those between the clear ones previously and the > >> lightwieght 'war issue' design.
