They work but there is no meter or aperture coupling, so you use stop down metering and must stop the lens down to the taking aperture before releasing the shutter. For example, you would focus wide open, stop the lens down to the preffered aperture, take the meter reading and then fire the shutter while it is still stopped down. The aperture priority on the Canons will work here, as it will vary the shutter speed as you stop down the lens. I got mine in case I wanted to use my 400 2.8 on an Eos. I shoot that lens wide open, so the stopping down is not a problem.
