I met him and had lunch next to him and his wife at the annual Leica Historical Society meeting in Denver last month. I praised him for the quality of the paper used in printing his books and he responded by stating it was very hard finding a publisher willing to do his books based on his quality demands, for the initial ones he contacted expressed a concern about how many would ultimately sell globally ("how much money do you, Mr. Bower, guarantee we will make?") but he finally found one who expressed a deep interest and made a commitment, and the books you and I now have in our hands confirm that took place. I also told Brian I have given copies of the existing three books to multiple members of my family and to friends and aquaintances, all of whom shoot photographs, and naturally he was grateful. Brian is an accountant by trade and after fiddling with numbers and accounting matters 8+ hours a day in England, he clearly feels blessed by the satisfaction he gets with his M and R bodies and lenses. - -------------------------------------------- > For any M Luggers who don't have this book, get it! Great book and always a > good reference. > > Cheers, > Arturo
