Different strokes -- BTW, my best photojournalist friend >uses Leica M AND Canon EOS -- that's what flips his switch...... >But he knows that 5-10 years after an electronic body is discontinued, >that's it for product support!! No surprise, I was being sarcastic in response to some other remark. Just today a guy I was photographing asked to take a picture of me (and the subject at hand behind me) with my R8 because "You guys never get in the picture." So I handed him my R8 and 19mm lens (he's an insurance agent, he can afford to drop it) and he took my picture. He said, "That's a real expensive camera, isn't it?" I said, "Yep." He said, "I can tell, because it just feels like a fine piece of equipment. I knew it the second I held it and took a picture." So there.
