It's called the Skeleton Coast camera jacket, and is incredibly practical. It's made of a material that W&G calls "Bush Poplin", with Zip-off sleeves and more pockets and stash places than you'll ever use. It was designed by a friend of mine, Jim Bruton. The design came out of an extended trip years ago to the skeleton coast with Des & Jen Bartlett to make a documentary film on elephant migration. Unfortunately, they are scaling back thier production of this particular jacket, so they are out of stock right now. I ordered one and they promised delivery in early Feb. You can reach Willis & Geiger sales at: 800 223 1408. Get one now before they're gone! You can see Jim wearing the jacket here with sleeves removed: (Jim is second from the left, standing next to my right) http://www.mungopark.com/199712/exp/dispatches/imgzoom.asp?image=12xrob08d&l inkback=D&disp=d08 Cheers, Jim Laurel - -----Original Message----- From: RBedw51767@aol.com [mailto:RBedw51767@aol.com] Sent: Tuesday, November 17, 1998 11:10 AM To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us Subject: [Leica] Vests I noticed in Tina Manleys recent posting that she will be using a photo vest on her trip to Honduras. I have never owned one but I noticed several different brands in the camera shop that I visit. There are Nikon, Domke, Lowe, Billingham, etc. I would be interested in LUGGERS recommendations.
