Hold the diopter between your eye, or glasses, and the viewfinder window (rear). Make sure you try to focus close, and at a distance. You'll know right away what works and what doesn't. Then order the diopter that gives you the "best" view. Also, keep in mind that the M6 has a built-in -.5 diopter - so putting in a +.5 is really bringing it up to neutral - +1.5 is really +.5, etc... I use a +1.0 now and it makes all the difference in the world. A +1.5 would improve my close focusing even further, but gives me a blurry distance view... Good luck.. > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > [mailto:owner-leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us]On Behalf Of Leopold > Green > Sent: Monday, November 16, 1998 7:16 AM > To: leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us > Subject: [Leica] diopter correction > > > It must sound like a dumb question but how does one know if and/or which > diopter correction lens one should use.
