Thanks for the comment, Pascal. Actually I have only met two people who
have done *any* aerial photography and talked to one other on the phone
recently. So finding one with an R-8 could be difficult! Much less with a
Vario-Apo-Elmarit!! Maybe if you send me the whole kit, I can try it out. .

I think a zoom lens would be very practical for aerial photography that is
scenic in nature. I already caught myself once leaning farther back in the
helicopter to get a wider view with my M6. It didn't affect things much in
the frame. So far I have resisted the temptation to lean too far forward.
So a zoom would be great in the air to crop the scene for best fit.
