Does this equipment have some sort of connection to the computer, does it come with the camera? I hear mention of small credit card size discs to capture the data on. How does it get from that medium to the computer? do i have to purchase some sort of card reader? How many images does one hold?>> You can hook up the camera direct to a video input so you can see the pictures on a bigger screen or you can hook it up to a computer and use the supplied software to download the pictures to the computer, but the software is too slow for me. What I do is to read the images directly off the "small credit card size disks" - SmartMedia cards - by using (easily available) adaptors which allow them to be inserted in a floppy disk drive or a PCMIA slot. With the adaptor they just become another disk drive and you read the image files just like any other file. The number of images held depends on the size of the card and the image quality and file sixe you select. The configuration I am comfortable with gives me 94 images. The cards are very light and I carry a couple of spares in the camera case. It is also possible to take the SmartMedia cards to some D&P outlets and they will print direct from the card. However, to save explaining which images I want printed I prefer to copy them onto a floppy disk and take that round to the store or send the images over the net. Hope this helps. Regards.
