Might be true. and that is part of the problem. Regardless of whos name is on the lens, if it is made by Zeiss, it will offer a certain performance. That performance does not change regardless of whos name is attached. All that changes is the perception, and that is foolish. It shows that some buy names not actual performance. If Leica was made in Korea on a Leitz Line, by Little Germans and no one but Leitz people run the line, the lenses will be viewed differnelty, and some will not buy them because who wants a serious Leicaflex built in Korea. RM
