I would say, give and take needing a spare, anybody with more than two
cameras in each class (i.e. SLR, Rangefinder, MF) is deemed a collector.
If you used any of them, you would be a collector/user.  Pure collectors
are rare but I know of a few.  They buy anything "latest" that hit the
shops but just to keep.
