I've never left home without it since. And also carr spare winder and camera batteries at all times. For those R8 users out there who have winders and do not carry the "body battery case," trust me, you had better carry it for no other reason than if you want to shoot sometime without the winder or the winder crashes, your R8 becomes as useless as an empty bucket with no bottom to it! ted
