Golly- sounds like I shouldn't be out there a-mendin' fences with my M3!
Actually- if you have an M with a collapsible lens and no external meter,
the little pouch that Tamrac makes is ideal- small, light, padded, and
inexpensive.  It's made for P&S cameras, but mine never complained when I
put a Leica in it.
