I use Leicas not because of the sharpness of the lenses (that's a nice bonus!) but because they can go places and do things other cameras can't. My M's have been soaked in torrential rains in a canoe on the Mosquito Coast, dried out and kept working. I can sit quietly in a corner in a dark room and take photos of families who forget I'm there because the camera is so quiet and the lens is so fast I don't need a flash. No other camera can do this!! I have argued this on other lists where photographers try to claim that Leicas are nothing special. They just don't understand. It's a relief to come back to the Leicaphiles, all of whom have their own reasons for loving this camera!
