Hi Andrew,

I use both the 90mm Elmarit-M and the 90mm Summicron. For portrait
I definitely prefer the Summicron, although the Elmarit is sharper. I
had
the Summicron first, then decided to get the Elmarit because its
lighter,
more compact and sharper. I found out that it's not that much lighter
or
more compact that the Summicron in practice for me. (Actually, mine
is chrome, so the weight comparison is not fair). I almost sold the
Summicron a couple of times; I am so glad I didn't. If I were to sell
one of them now, it would be the Elmarit. Hope that helps,

- - Phong
