If you are developing b&w film and papers, just send the liquids out into
the lawn.  As long as thay are diluted with a lot of water, they won't hurt
anything.



I also live in the country and have a septic tank and drainfield.  I mix
used developer into the stop bath and throw the mixture out in my woods and
take my used fixer to my research laboratory where there is a silver
recoverer.  I understand that mini photolabs will take used fixer.  I feel
it is a bad idea to flush these chemicals into a septic system.
