I will give it a try, although I must say that I get very nice results with this film and Ilfosol S, yielding a speed of 80-100, so the results with the combination you suggest would really have to be superior to give up the one stop. As for room temperature--well, you live in steamy Singapore, but I am in cold, rainy Belgium, and my darkroom (which is also my wine cellar) has a temperature of about 15C this time of year. So I just warm up the developer to 20C in a warm water bath, and then let the other chemicals (and the wash water) stay at the ambient temperature.
