I love B&W. Absolutely adore it. So, sometimes when I'm watching films
on TV, I'll say to myself, "hmm, this is a black and white film",
because the photography and lighting make colour superfluous.

Well, last night I watched a not too brilliant Australian sci-fi film
called "Zone 39" on the Sci-Fi channel. About three minutes into the
film I realized it would look much better without colour.

Removing the colour and playing with brightness (to get texture in the
shadows) and contrast (to get texture in the highlights), I ended up
watching the rest of the movie in B&W. It was brilliant: Every shot
looked like an Ansel Adams print ;-)

Didn't improve the plot though ;)
