I know four people who have had it done, one was legally blind and can now see very well with contacts. The other three did it for cosmetic reasons and all three now have 20-20 to 20-30 vision or worse, they really need to wear glasses especially inside (can't read overheads) and two have increased problems with direct sunlight. I have 20-13 vision with my glasses (I see at 20 feet what those of you with 20/20 vision see at 13 feet and I used to have 20-10) which function as ever present safety glasses that have saved flying nails and bits of concrete and metal from entering my eyes. The doctors I've talked to have said that they could not guarantee that I'd have 20-13 vision after surgery so........ I'm sticking with my glasses. It's also easier for me to sleep-in 'cause I can't see the clock......... Duane Birkey HCJB World Radio Quito Ecuador
