Hi Jamie
I use my Visoflex I and II all the time for Macro(Micro) photography. I
copy old photos
down to 0.5 inch square. I have used the Nikon and Leica R system but like
the Visoflex I the best. The mirror in the Visoflex I is longer and you do
not get cutoff with long extensions. Also the Leica SM lets you use all kind
of enlarging lens for flat field. I meter off a gray card and use the
factors on the rail. If you use an SLR for this work you need a mirror lock
up and an exposure lock. I use my M with a conversion ring. I had a R4 with
TTL metering but the LEDs never seemed to work right. I normally use a 135mm
Elmar for copying. It gives more room in front of the lens for lighting. Any
of the Leica lens can be used for close up work. I use Tech Pan developed
in POTA. Bill
PS I live in the little town of Cambria , CA at the South entrance to the
Big Sur country.
