It is indeed a Leica item.  I had my local Leica dealer order it for me.  I
use a -2.0 correction.  The part number is 14358.  They come in a variety
of strengths, both plus and minus diopters.  Mine cost about $65 and screws
directly into the back of the original viewfinder.  It add all of about
1/8" to the depth and nothing to the weight, but it gives me the ability to
see edge to edge within the finder.
