Interesting. Maybe just the difference between brits and americans. As a Brit
I have used Leicas (M6 and R5) as well as Alpas (10D and 11EL) all round the
world.  In Britain the only comments have been from the odd Leica buff. In the
US there has been more curiosity. However very few people know Leica and the
most common question is "Leica, is that Russian?"
