I think for some people it is a bit voodoo science, but there is something to it. There were several articles about bokeh in the May/June 1997 issue of Photo Techniques. The most technical was by Harold Merklinger and is available from his web site as a pdf file. I have it available to email to people, but I'm not sure if this violates the author's copyrights. The best thing would be to go to Alta Vista and search for +Merklinger +bokeh. Dan C.
