The sleeves are each saved in folders, and the folders are numbered (203, 204, etc.). When the negs were scanned they were saved as (203-a, 203-b, etc). When the scanning was completed, the files were "dragged and dropped" into the software and were automatically saved under the above-mentioned "names." They appear as thumbnails with the number shown immediately below. In addition, the software allows you to list as many descriptive words about each image as you like. Then, should you be looking for a particular image, you can make the process easier by doing a search for (as an example) "Yosemite, winter, rock, Merced River, etc.). It works easily and very, very, well. Once you've located the correct thumbnail (and file number) you can then go to the negative files and pull the folder. Simple, no? George
