The G2 and M6 belonged to Tim Page. He loved both. used a small
Olympus strobe on the Contax and M6, said it was basically same as the
new Leica strobe and worked beautifully for $30. Said he has managed to
do 30 years of war photography and never lose a Leica M2 takeup spool.

Antonin uses mostly just one lens for reportage. Said he started with
the 35, then the 28 then the 24 then the 20. But said he found it hard
to do celebrity portraiture with the 20, so moved back to the 24. His
celebrity portraiture was stunning. He said his biggest problem often
is showing up with maybe one assistant and one camera and one lens and
no lights. He said several of his subjects have felt the need to call
the magazine to see if the guy is real because he doesn't have an
entourage. Antonin says he does have an M6, given him when he won the
Leica metal, but he doesn't know much how to use it. Says he has used
it for movie stills a couple times because of the quiet, but also says
he is afraid of getting addicted to Leica because he can't afford them.

Interestingly, Antonin Kratochvil now only shoots B/W, either Tri-X
("the best film every made") or TMZ 3200 pushed to 6400.

Tim Page only shoots color. Said Tim. "I just love to see the chromes.
I get them back and toss a bunch and find the gems and put 'em in a
projector and sit back with a cigar and it is better than sex.
Absolutely!"
