Oh, heavens.  A 2.8/35 Jupiter-12 can be found readily and will cost you
less than $100.  It will run rings around any other lens in that focal
length, though the much more expensive SOM Berthiot Angulor comes close.
There are also a slew of Canon and Nikon lenses, but these are much more
expensive yet, and of not better optical quality.
