Have been following Ted's predicament...I wonder if, for a small 
price, we would all be able to register our equipment serial number(s) 
at a central repository.  I do not currently belong to the Leica 
Historical Society, but such organisation, if they should agree, would 
be a possible place.  We might all join, and, as an additional perk, 
have them enter our equipment into a data bank.  Don't mean to give 
any organisation more work, just a thought...are any officers of the 
group lurking?
