Eric: The HP Photosmart is a tiny, psuedo-flatbed, with motorized media loading and motorized, changeable carriers for slides, strips of up to 6 negatives and photos (or other items slipped into a clear carrier) up to 5"x7". Specs are: 30 bits, 2400dpi (optical) on negs and slides, 300dpi (optical) for prints. Works like a charm... and quite reasonalbe in price. Currently HP is offering a $100 rebate.
