Father's reaction should have been the reverse...fussed over the Pentax and
not worry about Leica's extreme duribility.  I remember a Leica brochure
saying that to remove dirt from binoculars (in the feild), just rinse under
water!  What if M6's, R8's and lenses were as water tight!
