Marc is certainly the expert here on Rollei matters but I think that the   
Zeiss connection is perhaps the only bridge between the two (Leitz and   
Rollei) systems.
Zeiss made a series of lenses for the Rollei cameras and also   
made/makes(?) the 15mm Super Elmar for the Leica reflex cameras.   
Certainly the Planar was offerred as a standard lens along with a cheaper   
alternatives for the whole range from Singapore under the Rolleinar brand   
name.
