It never stays anywhere in between no matter whi= ch >shutter/aperature combination I use. James, The meter button you're pressing is the battery test button. Turn the meter on by pulling the film winding lever away from the camera body. If= it still doesn't work the camera needs some service. SL viewscreens tend= to turn yellowish with age.
