What you're asking for is probably Ilford Delta 100. It's sharper and finer
grained than TMax 100, but I like either film. But fast enough to hand hold
with fast lenses.

On the other hand, have you seen Sebastiao Salgado's 16x20s with Tri-X?
Grain isn't always bad.
