 SNIP

Eric,

What intrigues me about the Scanmaker 5 is the fact that it does not
have a transparency adapter for a flatbed but in fact has two stages: a
flat-bed reflective scanner on top and a second stage that is
specifically a film scanner. While I agree that it will not equal a drum
scanner I'm looking for feedback on its capabilities and limitations
from anyone who may have experience with it. TIA.

Sometimes the wrong thing is exactly the thing you should do.
