"Hey, we need to make a camera that will shake the photo world to its core and make possible a whole new profession of photojournalsim and medium of the picture magazine? We need to give photographers a tool that will allow them to make lyrical pictures the likes the world has rarely seen to date, much more easily. Nah... Hey, we need something to maintain jobs in the factory. Let's build this camera! Let's do something new that might have some potential for sales. That's how it happened... With a few exaggerations along the way. :-) What might the S1 be in this context? The former, or the latter. Where might it end up? Nobody knows.
