It has lightly engraved numbers on the back plate below the advance lever, some brassing on the end of the body at the advance end, as if it spent a lot of time rubbing in a bag, and light scratches on the top and bottom plates. No signs of droppage or anything like that. The viewfinder is bright and contrasty. The rangefinder rectangle shows some "spiderwebbing", but it works perfectly. It's just been serviced, and had the meter sensor replaced. I tested it with a roll of velvia, and it seems to be on the money from a calibration standpoint, shutter, meter, and rangefinder. It also has a black shutter release collar, rewind lever, and baseplate release latch. Were these standard? I had a black M5 in the past, so I don't know if this was standard for the chrome bodies or not. I know that pristine M5s are expensive nowadays, but this certainly is not a collector camera from an appearance standpoint. Can someone give me an idea of a fair price to ask for the body? Thanks Scott Stewart
