Toshiba makes a machine called the Libretto,
latest model is the 100ct. Librettos are bigger
than pilots, win ce machines, Sharp Zarus, etc.
But - they are full windows computers. Keyboard
is small but workable. Run normal apps.

Much more money than a pilot.

>In terms of portability and price, the Palmpilot is a great machine for
replacing a Day Runner or other organizer two which you refer often for
addresses, but do not have to enter information frequently. A pilot is okay
for reading email, but is a major pain for anything more than one line
emails. The handwriting recognition itself is good, but it is tedious. I
use a HP 620lx (handheld, color display). It is more expensive, but even a
halfway decent touch-typer can work faster with two fingers on a miniature
keyboard than with a pen on a little slippery screen. Plus, the standard
VGA width screen of the Pilot's larger competitors is better for reading
email and web browsing.
