My SL (s/n 12436nn) seems to have an aluminum release button, not a plastic
one.   Also, I own both an SL and an SL/2 and I can't see much difference in
quality between the two.  I'd guess that the SL/2 was more costly to
manufacture.

BTW, I paid the equivalent of $540 USD for a new SL/2 in Nuremberg in 1977.
