Of course, the last rebuilt carburetor I saw at the museum was a wonderful variation on the theme established by Richard Petty in his neo-holly days, from the 1960s when the average mechanic could get the best tools from Sears. Of course photographers appreciate their tools, they are not mechanics, they are creative professionals or amateurs. A carburetor doesn't respond differently to Snap On vs. Craftsman wrenches. Pictures look different depending on the different films, lenses and techniques applied. to them. To claim mechanics appreciate their tools but photographers don't is simply not true. Painters appreciate and argue the merits of different brushes. What's the difference between that and cameras, lenses, films and technique? Not that much. Otherwise, sell your Leicas, get Ricoh and go on a trip to Tahiti or something. Don't tell us that it doesn't matter, this group exists on the assumption it does. - -- ========= Eric Welch St. Joseph, MO Capt'n! The spellchecker kinna take this abuse
