I've used a Minolta Spotmeter F for years, and have never had any trouble with
it.  If all you want is a spotmeter you can't go wrong with this one.  But if
you are going to get a used spotmeter, of any make, be sure to check the
calibration by comparing readings with another meter.  These are delicate
little things.  BTW, if you decide to spring for a new one I saw the other day
that B&H is selling the Minolta for less than $400, much less than what some
of the fancier, and more sophisticated, meters are going for.
