OTOH you have (also) used an 1/50 Noctilux, whose distance adjustment is far more slow than in any other 50 mm M or R lens. Assumed there is enough light, I was always quicker to change from i.e. 10 m (30 feet) to 2 m (6 feet) with the 2/50 R Summicron (not to speak of the M version) and press the release button than with the 1/50 Noctilux. Didn't you suffer from that type of delay ?
