Are they just quirky pieces > > of Leica history, or is there a practical use to the practising Leica > > photographer for these devices? -------- Martin ===================================================== After using Brite Line finders on all my LTM & M Leicas for over 40 years, I can offer this suggestion "Try them" & you will find that there is no VF that offers as bright a view and with the 35 & 50mm close to actual size image which allows for both eyes open quick shooting with a bright frame around the actual image. Of course this type of shooting isn't for the photographer that needs to spend lots of time composing or for the one that has to keep adjusting the focus til the last second (like sports) but it is well known that some top photogs use them even on their SLR's and of course HCB used them. IMHO too much time is spent fiddeling with focusing when stopped down to the point where the normal DOF is adequate for the most part. Marvin (non-fiddler) Moss
