You are correct, Don. It's absurd to argue on lens caps when you have enough time to move the shutter from B to 1/1000. When you know before when and where events will happen, at least apporximately, you look for your standpoint and adjust teh camera/-s before. When you are in action you have the cameras (and lenses) ready, not matter whether you carry them open or hidden, and you have time for nothing. If you carry a bag, each piece of gear needs to be at hand immediatley and move in and out without fumbling and problems = you have some space between gear and bag. Additionally, you test it before and - not intended - - while you are in action. Each camera has it's own sensible areas ... a small movement of the transport (Nikon, SL Leicas) or a slight pressure on the release button (M and R Leica) ... You exclude disasters before. - -------------------------------------------------- Alfred Breull http://members.aol.com/abreull/index.htm
