Peter,

On the 35/3.5 Summaron, detaching the goggles is very simple.  Undo the
fingerwheel lock above the eyepiece, then slide the goggles off the lens.  To
remount, reverse the procedure.  Really Simple, which is the beauty of most of
the classic Leitz designs.
