It works best, if the statement is biased by in general accepted prejudices. If you say "Nikon is ... ", or even worse, "Mrs/Mr X of Nikon is ... ", you need to pay hard $$$, if Mrs/ Mr X's laywer reacts a little nasty. If you say "Japan is ... " or "Japanese are ...", you say whatever you like, almost at least, and nothing will happen.
