Regardless of some negative criticisms of DoubleTake Magazine we should still
relish its existence.  A recent article in Newsweek indicates the magazine won
the National Magazine Award for General Excellence.  "The American Society of
Magazine Editors cited DoubleTakes's mission 'to document ordinary life' with
'extraordinary' photos and distinguished writing".  The article also indicates
"it's likely to stay in the red as long as it's committed to large-format,
quality reproduction-and good money for writers and photographers".  Regards,
