I much prefer using my new M6HM as compared to my old M6. Maybe its because it is new, and the novelty hasn't worn off yet. I have no problem using it with my 35mm lenses, and do so. But then, I also have no problems with lens hoods blocking parts of the viewfinder. Maybe if you are bothered by the one you will be bothered by the other. I honestly don't think I will ever use my old M6 again, except at times (rare) when I use two bodies. Focusing does seem very precise. It is surprising how sensitive the rangfinder is to the slightest variations in distance to a subject. Dan C.
