I just ordered a couple of the new zinc-air(?) batteries that I was told put out the same voltage as the PX625 mercury cell. The salesperson said that you have to wait about 30 mins. after removing the cover on the cell to use the battery, which means you better not be in the middle of shooting something when it goes bad... It's stuff like that keeps a handheld meter in my bag all the time. I guess time will tell about longevity. If they only last a short while I'll try the MR-9 adapter from C.R.I.S.. They advertise it at $29.95, and the 76 batteries are cheap. Even if you must replace them frequently as the voltage goes down, at least they're inexpensive and readily available. Scott
